Objectives
Development of a customer-application which enables uniform communication between ERP-system and RFID devices.
The Challenge
Currently, the customer uses one specific type of readers. The communication between reader and IT-system takes place via the command protocol of the reader. Now, additional readers of an other manufacturer shall be used.
In the future both RFID devices shall communicate with the IT-system via one reader protocol.
Solution Approach
Development of a customized reader application which overlays the proprietary connection of the additional device with a non-complex hardware independent interface.
Following functions are implemented:

Data capturing via reader

Comparison of standard information provided by IT-system

Data updates in the IT-system

If multiple transponders are detected simultaneously, an error management routine is triggered
