The Challenge
A reliable detection rate shall be guaranteed:
The transponders need to be reliably identified at temperatures of up to -40°C
and need to withstand extreme climatic conditions such as ice and snow
Practicable implementation of a „stand alone“ solution due to a missing infrastructure
The stable communication between identification point and railway headquarter must be guaranteed (system maintenance, restart, data transfer)
Solution Approach
Guaranteed detection of passive UHF transponders at high speeds by exact positioning of antennas and transponders and selection of the most suitable transponder
Heated RFID-racks, supplied with power via the railway electric network
Communication via GPRS-module
Central remote maintenance via special software functions
