The Scalable RFID Performance
EB Identification Network is a RFID Reader system solution for enterprise customers using identification data for demanding business applications. It consists of intelligent identification devices including the EB RFID Network Controller and EB RFID Readers. The EB Identification Network provides a scalable RFID infrastructure for any system integrator, solution provider or ERP-company serving their customers with complete inte-grated business application solutions.
The management and control of the EB Identification Network is based on innovative techniques like the EB patented Facility SoundingT that measures and analyses the radio environment. A network of intelligent, synchronized readers guarantees interference free, optimized use of radio resources and fast operation in dense reader environment. Intelligent filtering and unwanted read elimination with distributed intelligence guarantees accurate acquisition.
Comprehensive Support of Standard Interfaces
The EB Identification Network is based on EPCglobal interfaces. The data interface between the EB RFID Network controller and enterprise applications follows the EPCglobal Application Level Events (ALE) and EPCIS standards. The open interfaces enable integration of the EB Identification Network with industry leading enterprise applications (ERP's and Middle-ware solutions). The EB RFID Network controller uses EPCglobal Reader Protocol (RP) and Reader Management (RM) as the device layer control protocols. The RP/RM interfaces provide both capability to control multiple ID technologies (UHF, HF, Barcode, WiFi) and distribution of intelligence to ID device level. The EB Identification Network provides ultimate acquisition and network performance.

EB Identification Network - Key Benefits
-
Scalability
- Start small and grow by reusing existing components
- The product interfaces are RFID technology independent
- Designed for large networks with large number of Reader Devices
-
Efficienty
- Distributed intelligence enables filtering for all layers reducing the transmitted
data up to 90%
- No time critical communication is used over the backbone
-
Reliability
- Distributed intelligence enables independent operation of devices and business
logic can be distributed down to Reader Device level
- Decentralized control with distributed intelligence can leave the Reader Devices
operational in a fault situation.
