EB RFID Reader is a state of the art fixed RFID reader with high-speed long distance read capabilities even in extreme environments. The RFID Reader's programming command interface is based on open EPCglobal standards and it is compliant to EPCglobalT Class-1 Generation-2 and ISO 18000-6C UHF RFID Standards. The RFID Reader is equipped with advanced I/O and programming capabilities for embedded Linux OS.

EB RFID Reader is a UHF Gen 2 Class 1 RFID Reader supporting the latest Dense Reader Modes (DRM). As EB sticks to the standards, it is fully incorporating the European latest regulation demands based on ETSI EN 302208 including the ongoing modifications with regard to Listen Before Talk (LBT). It provides high reader performance for fixed and mobile reader requirements in gate and forklift reading. EB RFID Reader is based on Software Defined Radio (SDR) architecture to enable highest performance and maximum flexibility with capability to support upcoming new RFID standards. The reader incorporates separate processors for application, protocol and signal processing and the powerful Linux OS can be used for any customer application.

Open standard command interfaces
The reader command interface is based on EPCglobal Reader Protocol 1.1 Reader Management 1.0 (RP 1.1/RM 1.0). The idea of the RP 1.1/RM 1.0 is to provide a non-proprietary command interface that can be used to control any identification device following RP 1.1. The EB RFID Reader with full support for arbitrary use of external I/O's forms a solution for intelligent read points with process logic often needed in real-world read-gate appli-cations from asset and personnel tracking to manufacturing control automation. The reader has 4 read-ports serving in TX/RX mode. It can be used with various types of antennas including radiating far-field and inductive near-field technologies used in item level tracking.
