In today’s fast-paced business environment, getting access to information immediately is more important than ever.

Consequently, appropriately monitoring and controlling things requires the implementation of real-time tracking systems (RTLS). State-of-the-art solutions nowadays need to be able to have an answer to fast-changing technologies and needs. Meaning, they must respond quickly and flexible to any environment and application possible.

Furthermore, 7iDs generic device management capabilities support heterogeneous device member setups as well. Meaning you can also combine different vendors to set up your industrial IoT application. RTLS

Real-Time Locating System; Set up by Indoor Positioning System (IPS) or Global Positioning System (GPS) in real time

Positioning

Determination of a position, person or device on demand and not necessarily in real time.

Tracking

Real time determination of a position of person or device by means of reference values.

Minimize configuration efforts with independent solutions

The Real-Time Tracking System (RTLS) of 7iD Technologies is based on the company’s own IoT Platform DIP™ and enables the integration of both industry BLE standards – iBeacon® and Eddystone® within one platform. The platform thereby guarantees future-proof applications – through complete manufacturer and technology independence, as well as 100% own IPRs. Thus DIP™ supports numerous use cases from Vessel tracking to patient localization and provides location awareness information and proximity sensing.

Specifications between Eddystone® and iBeacon® make a difference in providing locating services for beacons in use (see also UUIDs vs. Namespace provided by Google and Apple). But only in the combination of both standards on one single platform, IoT networks can be supervised centrally, set up easily and processes be designed flexible. An independent platform ensures network administrators to bring in any BLE (4.X and 5.X) beacon to the location tracking network without additional configuration effort.

Ensuring global rollouts and system stability – also in the future

Tracking and locating business applications provided by 7iD can be set up on-premise as well cloud-based (software as a service) and follow individual global rollout strategies due to highest scalability features of the IoT platform solutions. Implemented Docker and Kubernetes technology enable intelligent allocation and orchestration of resources and guarantee worldwide system stability. Solving tricky positioning calculations via triangulations is part of the expertise of 7iD, also in aqueous and metallic environments.
